  • Puerto Rico travelers enjoying increasingly convenient travel options with newly launched nonstop routes to Miami and Atlantic City

Travelers to and from Puerto Rico can enjoy more nonstop flights than ever before on Spirit Airlines as the carrier celebrates 20 years of serving Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). Spirit’s bright yellow planes will be busy this winter with the addition of new nonstop flights from SJU to Miami, Florida, and to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

“It’s been a great 20 years at SJU for Spirit Airlines, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by giving our Guests more places to go,” said Camilo Martelo, Spirit’s Director of International Stations. “We know people are ready to travel again, and growing our list of exciting nonstop destinations is our way of saying thank you for the last two decades as we look forward to the next one.”

Serving Communities

In addition to adding new routes and service, Spirit believes change starts by giving back.  We invest in organizations that have a meaningful social impact on the lives of Children and Families, Military Service Members and the Environment. For SJU’s 20th Anniversary Celebration, The Spirit Charitable Foundation donated to Hogar Niñito Jesús, a San Juan-based organization that offers shelter and protection for boys and girls from newborn to seven years of age.
