Airport Council International for Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) congratulates the winners of the 6th round of airport auctions and the Brazilian authorities for managing the process. ACI, the international airport organization, reiterates its support to the operators and the government in the development and management of airport infrastructures that are fundamental for the socio-economic advancement of the regions and the country in general.
ACI is a world leader in sustainability programs, including the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Certification, which evaluates and recognizes the efforts of airports to manage and reduce their carbon emissions. In Brazil there are already 4 certified airports: Brasilia International Airport, BH Airport, Salvador Bahia Airport and Natal International Airport.
“ACI is convinced that sustainability is one of the main pillars for the development of the aviation industry. We congratulate the winners of today’s auction and we are at disposal of operators and authorities in Brazil to support them and work together for the well being and development of the aviation industry,” said Dr. Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC.
