Azul S.A., “Azul”, (B3: AZUL4, NYSE: AZUL), the largest airline in Brazil by departures and number of cities served, announces today its preliminary traffic results for October 2021.
Domestic passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 6.1% compared to October 2019 on a domestic capacity increase (ASKs) of 8.0%, resulting in a load factor of 82.5%.
“October was again a strong month for Azul. We see robust demand in the domestic market as cities continue to reopen and companies come back to in-person work. Brazil now has 75% of its population with at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, higher than the US or Europe, and this vaccine progress is clearly driving strong bookings. Our unique fleet and network continue to allow us to capture demand all throughout the country leading to our strong traffic results,” says John Rodgerson, Azul’s CEO.
