FAA Awards Research Grants to Build Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supply Chains

Source: US FAA The FAA believes the expansion of 5G and aviation will safely co-exist. Today, we took an important step toward that goal by issuing two airworthiness directives to provide a framework and to gather more information to avoid potential effects on aviation safety equipment. October Airline Industry Employment Estimated to Increase from September, Remains 3.2% Below Pre-Pandemic October 2019

Source: US DOT Major passenger airlines add an estimated 2,823 jobs in October; major cargo carriers add 1,237 U.S. airlines employed an estimated 722,587 workers in September 2021, which is 2,817 (0.4%) more workers than in September 2021 (719,770) and 23,959 (3.2%) fewer than in pre-pandemic October 2019 (746,546). UNWTO Calls Against Blanket Travel Restrictions

Volaris Reports November 2021 Traffic Results: 26% demand growth versus 2019 with an 89% Load Factor

U.S. Airlines’ Net Profit in 3rd Quarter 2021 Nearly Triples 2nd Quarter

Source: US DOT   U.S. scheduled passenger airlines reported a third-quarter 2021 after-tax net profit of $2.7 billion and a pre-tax operating loss of $187 million. The third-quarter positive after-tax net profit is the second consecutive quarterly profit and the second quarterly profit since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The airlines increased their second-quarter profit ($1.0 billion) by 170%. The third-quarter pre-tax operating loss of $187 million was also improved from the second-quarter loss of $3.6 billion.
