Delta Air Lines: After 523 days, flight attendant class finally returns

The “G class,” those who were in training when the COVID-19 pandemic set in, headed home with Delta’s promise that they’d be the first to come back when it was time. Delta brought them back 78 weeks later. On Oct. 1, 99 trainees celebrated their graduation and joined the ranks of Delta flight attendants serving customers. LATAM Group projects operation of 56% for October

Source: LATAM LATAM's passenger operation projection for October 2021 estimates the group reaching 56% of its capacity (measured in available seat kilometers - ASK) compared to the same month of 2019, in a pre-pandemic context. The situation continues to improve in the countries where the group operates, especially in Colombia and Ecuador where its domestic capacity would exceed pre-pandemic levels, reaching 105% and 100% respectively (measured in ASK). August Airline Industry Employment Edges Up from July, Remains 3.2% Below Pre-Pandemic August 2019

Source: US DOT Largest passenger airlines add 4,320 jobs in August U.S. airlines employed 718,407 workers in August 2021, which is 0.3% (2,454) more workers than in July 2021, but 3.2% (23,919) fewer than in pre-pandemic August 2019. The August industry numbers consist of 613,657 full-time and 104,750 part-time workers, an increase from July of 5,238 full-time and a decrease of 2,784 part-time workers. Major passenger airlines added 4,320 employees in August. As of August, the largest passenger airlines are operating with 63,341 fewer employees than at the March 2020 onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. BNDES supports the export of 24 Embraer aircraft to the US

QANTAS REPATRIATION FLIGHT LANDS IN HISTORY BOOKS

Source: Qantas A record breaking repatriation flight has flown 15,020 kilometres from Buenos Aires to Darwin and touched down after 17 hours and 25 minutes in the air. Since March 2020 the airline has operated hundreds of charter and repatriation flights of behalf of the Australian Government to bring Australians home during the COVID19 pandemic, flying to 31 destinations overseas, including 19 that aren’t part of the airline’s regular network. QF14 carried 107 passengers and flew non-stop from Buenos Aires to Darwin. First-of-kind training agreement partners ICAO with Emirates
