Unique published study: Delta’s pre-flight testing significantly decreases rate of active COVID-19 infections on board

That’s according to a unique study that examined real-world customer data on Delta’s COVID-tested flight corridors between New York-JFK, Atlanta and Italy’s Fiumicino International Airport. Austrian Airlines offers more scheduled flights to holiday destinations

TAP announces 941 flights per week in the Winter

Emirates to receive final A380 in November

FAA Releases Data Showing Trends in Dangerous Laser Strikes

The FAA is sharing the information in the new format to draw attention to the dangerously high rate of laser strikes on airplanes. “Pointing a laser at an aircraft can temporarily blind a pilot and not only affects the crew but endangers passengers and the communities they fly over every night,” said FAA Administrator Steve Dickson. IATA: Strong Cargo Demand Continues in July

Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released July 2021 data for global air cargo markets showing that demand continued its strong growth trend. As comparisons between 2021 and 2020 monthly results are distorted by the extraordinary impact of COVID-19, unless otherwise noted, all comparisons below are to July 2019 which followed a normal demand pattern. Global demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTKs*), was up 8.6% compared to July 2019. Overall growth remains strong compared to the long-term average growth trend of around 4.7%.
