Warriors, United Airlines Launch Franchise Fund

Source: United The Golden State Warriors and United Airlines announced today the launch of Franchise Fund, a program designed to support minority-owned Bay Area small businesses. For a video explaining Franchise Fund, click here. In collaboration with the Western Region Minority Supplier Diversity Council, the Warriors and United Airlines will select 25 minority-owned, Bay Area small businesses to join the initiative, which will offer resources to assist with business growth. The Warriors and United will cover all costs associated with the businesses receiving their Minority Business Enterprise designation, issued by the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council. Aircraft Operations Must Not Suffer from Political Interference

Source: IATA The International Air Transport Association (IATA) called on the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to maintain the critical separation between politics and aviation safety issues. The call followed the latest development in events following the incident when Ryanair FR4978 was intercepted over Belarus Airspace and forced to land in Minsk. U.S. Airlines April 2021 Fuel Use Up 3.7% from March

Air Lease Corporation Announces Delivery of New Boeing 737-9 Aircraft to Aeromexico

ICAO CO2 Standards used for latest EASA aircraft certification

Source: ICAO Aircraft CO2 emissions standards adopted through ICAO have been applied by EASA for its latest type certificate issuance – for the new Airbus A330-941neo. Embraer Celebrates London City Airport Clearance for E190-E2

United Adding Supersonic Speeds with New Agreement to Buy Aircraft from Boom Supersonic

Source: United Airlines United Airlines today announced a commercial agreement with Denver-based aerospace company Boom Supersonic to add aircraft to its global fleet as well as a cooperative sustainability initiative – a move that facilitates a leap forward in returning supersonic speeds to aviation. Under the terms of the agreement, United will purchase 15 of Boom's 'Overture' airliners, once Overture meets United's demanding safety, operating and sustainability requirements, with an option for an additional 35 aircraft.
