LATAM confirms expansion of its cargo fleet up to 21 Boeing 767 planes in 2023

Source: LATAM The Group informed that two additional aircraft were added to the conversion plan of eight aircraft informed in March. This will bring the fleet to up to 21 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighters by 2023. Once completed, the Group’s freighter capacity will have almost doubled in size while the average age of the fleet will have dropped from 17 to 14 years. The rise was fueled by gains of nearly 4% in domestic cargo and 24% in international cargo, according to data filed with the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) by 12 of the leading U.S. cargo airlines.
