The ALTA CCMA & MRO Conference, the premier and longest-standing maintenance and technical purchasing conference within the aviation industry in the Americas and the Caribbean, took-off yesterday, August 22, 2021.
After a successful in-person edition last December 2020, the ALTA CCMA & MRO Conference 2021 brings together over 500 executives from 31 airlines and 169 suppliers companies. “The in-person event allows us to send a powerful message that it is possible to resume travel, events and meetings following the biosafety protocols established by the airline industry, and also that aviation has a very promising path ahead with a recovery process driven by its people and the willingness to always make available the safest and most efficient means of transport,” comments ALTA Executive Director & CEO, José Ricardo Botelho.
This year’s academic agenda covers important topics in this recovery process: technologies, agility, human resources, environment, regulations, among others. Also, the in-person meetings of the Purchasing and Maintenance Committees and, on this occasion, the Fuel Committee as well, with the participation of airlines and suppliers with a two-day agenda aimed at seeking efficiencies and continuous improvement. “We thank the 31 sponsoring companies, the 40 companies that are exhibiting products and services in tabletops and the 7 exhibitors, for their trust and support this year. We will have over 1,200 mini meetings between suppliers and airlines that will contribute to strengthen the relationship and seek together the best way to address the challenges for the recovery of the industry,” Botelho added.
