Azul S.A., “Azul”, (B3: AZUL4, NYSE: AZUL), the largest airline in Brazil by departures and number of cities served, announces today its preliminary traffic results for August 2021.
Domestic passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 6.5% compared to August 2019 on a domestic capacity increase (ASKs) of 12.0%, resulting in a load factor of 78.5%.
“August was another strong month for Azul as vaccinations continue to make very good progress in Brazil. With approximately 85% of adults having received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, booking trends are strong and average fares continue to be well above 2019 levels”, says John Rodgerson, Azul’s CEO.
