Catalin Radu has been appointed Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC by the Board of Directors of that organization.
Mr. Radu has extensive experience in civil aviation. Previously, he held the positions of Deputy Director for Flight Safety in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as well as, the First Vice-President of the 37th Assembly of ICAO.
Previously, Mr Radu held a number of executive and managerial positions in the Romanian Ministry of Transport.
At the European level, he has more than 25 years of experience in aviation safety, including within the international aviation system and fora. In that respect, he was also President and formerly Coordinator for Safety Issues of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and Vice President of EUROCONTROL.
Additionally, he served as Chairman of the High-Level Conference on USOAP/SMS/SSP and is a founding member of the Aviation Safety Foundation.
