  • Creates a more intelligent way to schedule, track, manage and connect flight departments
  • First of several enhancements to be made to Izon in 2022

Collins Aerospace has the answer for flight crews, dispatchers and operation managers in need of a straight-forward and easy-to-use trip scheduling solution. At this year’s NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers event in San Diego, Collins will roll out the newest application for its IzonTM technology platform – Calendar Exchange.

Calendar Exchange will be the intelligent way to plan, manage and connect a flight department’s entire aviation ecosystem.

At launch, users will be able to create trips and events quickly and easily in Calendar Exchange by using the intuitive controls of its modern user interface on virtually any device with an internet connection. As future enhancements are released, trip and event data will be synchronized with other Izon applications such as ARINCDirectSM Flight Planning and Flight Operations Systems (FOS®) to further reduce the need to switch between applications to complete common tasks.

“This is just the first of many applications we are designing for Izon that will create new efficiencies for business aviation operators around the world – a promise that we made when we launched the digital platform at last year’s Business Aviation Conference and Expo in Las Vegas,” said Jen Schopfer, president of Connected Aviation Solutions for Collins Aerospace. “As we continue to expand access to content, deliver new applications and integrate smart aircraft systems, we are closer to delivering a completely connected aviation ecosystem that makes the jobs of our customers more efficient, more enjoyable, and ultimately more sustainable.”

Collins will continue to add new applications, features and capabilities to Izon later this year, including new features for flight planning and connected aviation ecosystem capabilities. As the platform grows and evolves, the portal will allow for Collins and third parties to also share and conduct data transactions.
