  • The Alliance has welcomed two new organizations as members in the last three months: Air4All and Aeromexico
  • The Mexican national carrier is the latest subscriber and the first Latin American organisation to join IAMA

The Independent Aircraft Modifier Alliance (IAMA) has had a very successful and busy first quarter of the year.

They have welcomed two new organisations as members. First Air4All, a consortium working on a project to allow wheelchair users to stay in their wheelchair throughout their journey without curtailing the seat count for Airlines. Having them on board is a matter of pride for IAMA and will translate into them being provided with complimentary access to the alliance’s extensive educational material and high standards. These willo help them develop high-quality modifications.

Then there is Aeromexico. The joing of Mexico’s national and flag airline is also great news as they became the latest subscriber and the first Latin American organisation to join IAMA.

The long-anticipated member audit program has officially and successfully kicked off in early 2022 and various members such as Eclipse Technics, Fokker Services, Lufthansa Technik, The Angelus Corporation and Carlisle IT have already passed it after being implemented by independent partner Quali-audit. This means that the above mentioned members have achieved the right to use an IAMA endorsement label on their modifications. The alliance’s members and their endorsed supplemental type certificates can be found on the IAMA platform.

Furthermore, all of IAMA’s working groups currently have workshops to address the topics outlined on our roadmap for 2022.
