Aeromexico and El Palacio de Hierro commemorated the 70 years on the throne of the first monarch, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to celebrate the “Platinum Jubilee” on the Mexico City – London route. The celebration took place on flight AM007 operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most modern, comfortable, efficient, and environmentally friendly aircraft.

As part of the celebration, on May 25, the company and its allies prepared a unique experience for customers who traveled from Mexico City to the English capital. During the flight, they enjoyed a special menu that included premium chocolates, cookies, and a selection of tea from exclusive British brands from El Palacio de Hierro.

For his part, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Mexico, Jon Benjamin, pointed out “This year we commemorate the Platinum Jubilee for the 70 years on the throne of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who has strengthened the bonds of friendship, understanding, and respect between the UK and the rest of the world. We are very pleased to know that Aeromexico joins the celebration of this historic event on its Mexico-London route.”

On June 1st, Aeromexico increased frequencies on its Mexico City – London route, therefore it will offer a daily flight, thus offering more than 15,000 monthly seats.
