The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA), participated last Tuesday (17) in the Symposium “New vision of safety: Human Factor and communication in crisis management”, promoted by Abrapavaa (Aviation Accident Victims’ Families and Friends’ Brazilian Association). The event was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Association.

Aiming to share experiences in critical situations through professionals working in the sector, ALTA’s Head of Safety, Virginio Corrieri, participated in the symposium and highlighted the activities developed by ALTA to enable the development of a safer, more efficient and environmentally responsible air transport in the region.

According to ALTA’s Head of Safety, the event provided an opportunity to raise safety issues. “Technical events where issues of high relevance to Safety are discussed to be always an excellent occasion to contribute with expertise. As an association, it is always vital we keep up to date in order to collaborate effectively with our members,” Virginio Corrieri said.

Issues such as response to the victim’s families in tragedies; crisis management and traumatic events; promotion of services and products; discussions about legislation; seeking improvements that lead to more efficient results, among others, were discussed. Also participating as speakers were Ana Flavia de Bello Rodrigues (virtually), CEO at CoSafe (Communication and Crisis Management), Eder Henriqson, Full Professor and Dean at PUC-RS Business School and Marcus Almeida, Superintendent of Security, Prevention and Emergencies at CCR airports.
