VINCI Airports, concessionnaire of Boa Vista airport, started the modernization and expansion works at Boa Vista airport, with the objective to make operations more efficient, enable better flow and improve airport experience for passengers. The ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the works was attended by local authorities, airport authorities and representatives of partner institutions.
The works, which should be completed in the second half of 2024, include the full renovation of the runway, the doubling of the passenger terminal area, with the expansion of the departure lounge. VINCI Airports will also expand the luggage handling system remodel the food court and add four new boarding gates will be installed. Upgrades are also planned for vehicle parking air-conditioning and lighting system, with the objective to improve the airports’ environmental performance.
VINCI Airports has awarded the works to a consortium formed by the companies Teixeira Duarte Engenharia e Construções S.A, Alves Ribeiro S.A do Brasil and Actemium (VINCI Energies), all with extensive experience in infrastructure projects, including Lisbon airport, which is also operated by VINCI Airports.
