LATAM group reported its operating statistics for November, reaching 6.7 million passengers transported, representing a 17.6% increase compared to the same period in 2022. So far this year, the total number of passengers transported reached 66.9 million, an increase of 18.1% compared to the January – November period 2022.
In the eleventh month of the year, passenger traffic measured in revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK) increased by 19.9% compared to the same month in 2022. Of note, all segments where the group operates noted increases: 29.5% in international traffic, 19.6% in the domestic markets of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and 7.1% in the Brazilian domestic market. Between January and November of this year, traffic increased by 23.3% compared to the same period last year.
LATAM group capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), increased 16.2% compared to November 2022, and year to date, capacity increased 21.3% compared to the same period in 2022. There was a 26% increase in international operations and a 16.6% increase in the domestic markets of Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. This reflects the implementation of LATAM’s growth plan, fleet modernization strategy and network expansion.
As a result, the consolidated passenger load factor was 85.2% in the month of November, 2.6 points higher than in November 2022.
In terms of cargo, the capacity measured in available ton-kilometers (ATK) increased by 11.5% compared to November 2022, reaching 6,502 million available ton-kilometers during the first eleven months of 2023.
