Viva Aerobus announced today its March 2024 preliminary traffic results. Viva Aerobus’ passenger traffic increased 12.6% compared to March 2023, reaching 2.2 million passengers, driven by an increase of 12.5% and 13.1% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. Load factors reached 86.1% compared to 86.2% in 2023, with a load factor mix of 87.9% and 78.2% in domestic and international, respectively.

Viva Aerobus grew its total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) by 15.2% compared to March 2023, reflecting an increase of 15.0% and 16.0% in domestic and international, respectively.

“Our 1Q 2024 traffic results reflect the favorable market dynamics in the Mexican market, supporting our healthy load factors. While we have experienced solid demand, our focus remains on maintaining a disciplined approach toward capacity deployment and ensuring operational reliability, given the ongoing pressures from the P&W GTF preventive engine inspections” said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
