A4A greatly appreciates the work of bipartisan lawmakers for their commitment to securing a long-term reauthorization of the FAA and supports the legislation’s passage in the House this week.
We are particularly grateful for the work of House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO) and Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA), as well as Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Garret Graves (R-LA) and Ranking Member Steve Cohen (D-TN) for working collaboratively to pass this legislation critical to the success of the U.S. airline industry and our indispensable network that drives our nation’s economy and global competitiveness.
The bill was thoughtfully crafted by the leaders of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee after months of negotiations and input from members of Congress and stakeholders alike. We look forward to President Biden signing this bill into law before the current extension expires at the end of this week.
