  • The Portuguese national carrier now operates 15 routes in Brazil.

TAP Air Portugal is resuming flights between Lisbon and Manaus, the capital of the state of Amazonia, in an operation with three weekly flights, with a stop in Belém, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The first flight is scheduled for November 4th.

With the return of this flight, the airline is now present in 13 capital cities and has 15 routes in Brazil (13 to Lisbon and two to Porto).

TAP had already flown to Manaus between 2014 and 2016. Tickets for the flights between Lisbon and Manaus are now available on flytap.com and at travel agencies, with promotional prices for return flights starting at 599 euros.

For Luís Rodrigues, CEO of TAP, “Brazil is strategic for TAP and the return of our flight to Manaus is another sign that we will continue to invest in the development of our operations in that country. We recently launched a new route to Florianópolis and we will end this year with at least 15 routes to Brazil, record numbers for the airline in our sister country.”

During the summer, despite the temporary suspension of flights to Porto Alegre, TAP offers 95 weekly flights to Brazil, an average of 13 flights a day, departing from 13 Brazilian state capitals.

TAP Air Portugal flies directly from Lisbon to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Florianópolis and Manaus, as well as connecting Porto to São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In total, there are 13 cities in Brazil (15 routes from Lisbon and Porto) that TAP connects directly to Portugal.
