Viva Aerobus announced its July 2024 preliminary traffic results. Viva Aerobus’ passenger traffic increased 6.2% compared to July 2023, reaching 2.5 million passengers, driven by an increase of 6.6% and 2.5% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. Load factors reached 92.0% compared to 91.3% in 2023, with a load factor mix of 92.3% and 90.3% in domestic and international, respectively.

Viva Aerobus grew its total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) by 4.9% compared to July 2023, reflecting an increase of 5.1% and 3.6% in domestic and international, respectively.

“July traffic was robust, reflecting a good summer season demand across our markets. Booking trends remain positive for the next couple of months, driven by the solid market fundamentals in the Mexican market. We remain cautious and are closely monitoring our operations as we continue to ground aircraft given the P&W engine recall crisis”, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
