The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) proudly welcomes two new partners to its Educational Hub: ICAL Aviation and icao4Pilots APP. These collaborations enrich ALTA’s growing catalogue of aviation-focused educational resources, designed to drive industry professionalization even more, improve human capital, and support operational safety across the region.
ALTA’s Educational Hub centralizes top-tier aviation training programs that benefit the entire industry by equipping professionals with the skills necessary to meet the demands of modern aviation. The addition of ICAL Aviation and icao4Pilots APP brings a specialized focus on improving aeronautical English language proficiency, a critical component for the safety and efficiency of aviation operations.
ICAL Aviation brings three flagship courses to ALTA’s Educational Hub:
- ICAO Level 4 Module Course: Focused on developing effective communication in PLAIN ENGLISH within an aviation context, the course equips participants with the skills required to meet ICAO’s Language Proficiency standards.
- English4Phraseology Operational: This program sharpens the use of standard aviation phraseology, adhering to guidelines set by both ICAO and the FAA.
- Phraseology4USA KMIA + KMCO + KJFK: Tailored to improve communication at major U.S. airports, this course helps aviation professionals interact seamlessly in an FAA-regulated environments.
icao4Pilots APP introduces its mobile application through the Hub. The app provides a dynamic , interactive platform for language training, featuring tools such as:
- Pilot’s Interview
- ATC Communications
- Abnormal Situations
- Comprehension Skills
- Aviation Vocabulary
- Mock Tests
The icao4Pilots APP leverages cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and augmented reality, to prepare aviation professionals for ICAO language proficiency exams.
