- Last week, Air Canada was proudly sponsoring the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Congress that was held in Vancouver, BC.
Among the 3-day program was the Future Leaders Luncheon, presented by David Rheault, Vice President Government and Community Relations at Air Canada. The inspiring discussion panel, Shaping Tomorrow’s Tourism: Empowering Future Leaders, not only recognized emerging talent in the sector, but was an opportunity to meet the four Air Canada Future Leaders Award recipients, celebrate their achievements, and promote those students’ outstanding motivation for pursuing a career in the vibrant Canadian tourism industry.
“It’s always an honour to be able to recognize the future leaders of tomorrow,” said David. “Congratulations on winning the prize. We need strong leaders today and tomorrow. Other people count on you to keep promoting Canada here and around the world. It’s natural for Air Canada to support this event and the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC), given our valued and strong relationships with tourism partners across the country and the important role we play as Canada’s flag and global carrier.”
In fact, the Canadian organization supports the Air Canada’s Community Relations goal to foster a bilingual, inclusive, sustainable and prosperous Canada for future generations. Air Canada strategically invests in impactful events and initiatives, particularly within aviation, tourism, and cultural sectors, to drive socio-economic benefits for Canadians
Supporting events like the TIAC Tourism Congress aligns with Air Canada’s commitment to supporting, elevating and celebrating the new generation of tourism leaders: throughout the year, we support many events and organizations with the same mission. Notably, in the fall, we were the Official Airline of the One Young World Summit in Montreal.
