United makes it easier for customers who use wheelchairs to book flights that can accommodate their personal device

Source: United Airlines United Airlines has launched a new digital tool on its app and united.com that makes it easier for customers who use wheelchairs to find flights that can best accommodate the specific dimensions of their personal mobility device. The airline also announced that eligible customers may seek a refund of the fare difference if a customer needs to pay more for a flight that can accommodate their wheelchair. Last year, United and United Express together carried more than 200,000 checked wheelchairs. FAA Invests $27 Million on Research to Reduce Emmissions and Noise

Source: FAA Research teams from universities nationwide are working on a variety of aviation environmental topics including sustainable aviation fuels, aircraft emissions, and noise impacts with support from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grants. The FAA is awarding $27.2 million to 11 U.S. universities as part of its Aviation Sustainability Center (ASCENT) program. 283 Destinations can be reached from Frankfurt Am Main Airport this coming summer

Source: Frankfurt Airport Frankfurt Airport’s new summer schedule will come into force on March 31, in tandem with the changeover to daylight saving time in Germany. The coming summer season will see a total of 83 airlines flying to 283 destinations in 90 countries around the world. This means Frankfurt Airport (FRA) will remain Germany’s most important international aviation hub with the largest number of intercontinental destinations.
