- The Management Committee will once again have an independent Customer Division, headed by Beatriz Guillén.
- Diego Fernández also joins the Management Committee as chief of Strategy, Transformation and Sustainability.
Iberia is reinforcing its structure to be able to deploy its next strategic plan, the 2030 Flight Plan, more effectively, which the company will present in June.
The airline is embarking on a new stage of transformation with the ambition of boosting its business to its full potential. To this end, it is announcing the internal promotion of two of its executives who will occupy two new positions on its Management Committee:
- Customer Division, headed by Beatriz Guillén.
- Strategy, Transformation and Sustainability Division, headed by Diego Fernández.
The Customer division returns to the Management Committee
Until now, the functions of the Customer division were integrated into the Commercial one. Now, this area will once again have its own position on the Management Committee, as was before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Customer division will be headed by Beatriz Guillén, who has been director of Global Sales and Loyalty. This division integrates the different corporate areas oriented towards more direct contact with the customer: Customer Experience, Customer Engagement, CRM & Marketing Automation and Loyalty.
Strategy, Transformation and Sustainability united in one key area for the next phase
Diego Fernández Ortiz, until now Director of Strategy, will become part of the Management Committee and will also take on the areas of Transformation, coming from the Finance Department, and Environmental Sustainability, previously integrated into the Corporate Department.
This new management team will lead the deployment of the Flight 2030 Plan. Aware of the essential role of environmental sustainability and, especially, of the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in the construction of the company’s future, Iberia incorporates the Environmental Sustainability area into this department, which will provide a more strategic vision of the acquisition of SAF and the promotion of the production of this fuel in Spain.
All matters relating to Iberia’s positive social impact remain in the Corporate Division.
