ACI-LAC invites its members to the webinar on The Path Towards Airport Circularity: Local Experiences and Innovative Models“.

With aviation operations expected to grow in the coming years, the issue of resource utilization in the Latin America and Caribbean region is crucial for airport operators – especially in light of new and more stringent environmental regulations. The deployment of circularity initiatives is not only about recycling or reducing waste. It requires a mindset shift on how we build business models. For airports, it may even open the door to new non-aeronautical revenue streams and long-term business resilience.

This webinar welcomes two influential voices in the region – Ivan Vidal, Chief Sustainability at Aeropuerto Ecológico Galapagos, and Alejandro Sanabria, Chief Sustainability at El Dorado Airport – to discuss the challenges related to implementation of circularity strategies but also lessons learned related on how to build fit-for-purpose models that are self-sustainable and inclusive of stakeholder interests across the aviation ecosystem.

Vivek Sindhamani, Head of Sustainability and Resilience, at Dutch consultancy firm NACO will present an overview of the ACI-LAC Whitepaper on Airport Circularity. The presentation will be followed by a discussion led by Marcelo L. Garcia, Head of Strategic Aviation Advisory, and Stephanie Chica Bonilla, LATAM Regional Manager.
