LATAM Airlines is set to introduce a new direct route between El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogota and Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) in Aruba. The launch of this service responds to increased demand for Aruba and is expected to enhance connectivity between Colombia and the Caribbean, while supporting both tourism and the strengthening of economic relations.
The planned service includes three weekly flights—on Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays—operated with Airbus A320 aircraft featuring 174 seats in both Premium Economy and Economy classes. In addition to passenger service, LATAM will offer cargo and mail capacity on this route, expanding commercial opportunities between both markets.
Flights are scheduled to begin on December 1, 2025, for an initial two-month period. If performance aligns with expectations, the route will become a permanent addition to LATAM’s network. The flight will depart Bogotá at 10:10 AM, arriving in Aruba at 1:20 PM. The return flight will depart Aruba at 2:35 PM, landing in Bogotá at 3:55 PM.
“With the expansion of the Bogotá–Aruba route by renowned carrier LATAM Airlines, Aruba reaffirms its commitment to diversifying its tourism industry by welcoming more visitors from Colombia and strengthening connectivity with other Latin American countries. This strategic development not only enhances tourism stability but also opens new doors for economic opportunities for our country and its communities.” Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor mr. Wendrick Cicilia.
“The Aruba Tourism Authority is excited to welcome this new route by LATAM Airlines—an airline with strong regional presence that aligns with our strategy to attract high-value visitors and enhance connectivity with South America, especially Colombia,” said Ronella Croes, CEO Aruba Tourism Authority. “This development supports our broader goal of market diversification and reflects the long-standing partnerships we’ve built over the past 40 years, said Ronella Croes, CEO, Aruba Tourism Authority.
“Aruba continues to see strong interest from Latin American markets. With this addition, travelers from Bogotá will now have three options to reach our island: Avianca, Wingo, and LATAM,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive, Aruba Airport Authority.“LATAM’s decision to expand its network to include Aruba—following the success of its Lima route—demonstrates confidence in Aruba’s value as a destination and our continued focus on route development.”
This new service adds more choice for travelers while boosting competition on the route—benefiting passengers with greater flexibility, competitive fares, and enhanced service.
