  • Guest satisfaction metric soars to the highest in company history following Spirit’s transformation

Spirit Airlines is marking more than three decades as one of the nation’s greatest champions for affordable travel by celebrating with its Guests who know the value of choosing Spirit.

“Many travelers know they can count on us for affordable fares, but Spirit’s super fans know we offer so much more with an elevated Guest experience, premium options and great value,” said Rana Ghosh, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Spirit Airlines. “Nearly a year after launching our major transformation, we’re proud to see our enhancements are resonating with our Guests.”

Spirit’s net promoter score (NPS), which measures Guests’ likelihood to recommend the airline, is the highest it has ever been. Spirit has nearly tripled its NPS since the launch of its transformation in August 2024, a result of the carrier’s investment in building a friendlier and more flexible Guest experience with new travel options. The airline recently announced new enhancements to further elevate the value delivered to travelers, including the introduction of its new, extra-legroom seating option and new perks for its Free Spirit loyalty program.

Additionally, Spirit delivered a strong operational performance in April 2025, ranking first among North American airlines for on-time performance. The airline was also recently named Best Airline Overall for 2025 and earned top recognition for safety and affordability for the second consecutive year by WalletHub. Spirit was also recognized by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) as a 2025 Four Star Low Cost Carrier. Additionally, the airline’s Fit Fleet® was ranked one of the world’s youngest for 2025 by ch-aviation. Spirit also received the FAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technician Diamond Award of Excellence for the seventh consecutive year.
