Iberia has opened a new recruitment call for entry-level pilots based in Madrid. This opportunity is aimed at professionals who meet the established requirements, including having at least 500 flight hours on an aircraft certified under CS-25 or equivalent.

Through this recruitment, the airline seeks to incorporate new pilots to support the anticipated growth under its Flight Plan 2030, which includes initiatives such as launching new routes to destinations like Toronto, Philadelphia, Monterrey, Orlando, Fortaleza, and Recife.

Additionally, the Flight Plan 2030 involves the addition of new A350 and A321XLR aircraft and a complete renewal of the short- and medium-haul fleet, with which Iberia aims to lead the future of aviation.

The selection process will be carried out gradually and in groups. Preselected candidates will be contacted via email with information regarding the date, time, and location of the assessment tests. They will also be required to provide supporting documentation upon request.

Recruitment Requirements

Candidates wishing to apply must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum education level: Successful completion of university entrance exams or equivalent studies granting university access.
  • Minimum qualification: ATPL(A) frozen EASA Part-FCL and MCC. If the license is not issued by AESA (i.e., it is not Spanish), the candidate must begin the conversion process as soon as possible and complete it within four months of hiring (the cost is borne by the candidate).
  • Minimum 500 flight hours on CS-25 certified aircraft or equivalent, performing pilot duties at the time of application.
  • Language proficiency certificate: Minimum English Level 4 and Spanish Level 5.
  • Right to work in the European Union and unrestricted passport.
  • Criminal background certificate.
  • Valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Height: Minimum 157 cm and maximum 191 cm.

  • Unrestricted ATPL(A).
  • Type ratings.
  • University degree.
  • Aeronautical experience.
