Southwest Airlines Co. is creating more opportunities for Customers to book their vacations with the launch of their in-house packaged vacations product—Getaways by Southwest™. These vacation packages, sold and serviced by Southwest®, offer signature flexibility and benefits that Customers want.
“Getaways by Southwest expands what Customers love about Southwest—flexibility, an award-winning Rapid Rewards® loyalty program, and great perks—to the vacation experience,” said Phil Gouel, Vice President Product Development at Southwest Airlines. “This end-to-end vacation package, coupled with our legendary Customer Service, is perfect for Customers seeking a convenient, valuable, and curated vacation experience.”
Customers who book a vacation package through Getaways by Southwest will be able to check two bags for free (weight and size limits apply)1 and earn five Rapid Rewards points per dollar spent on bookings.2 If plans change, Customers can cancel their packages and receive vacation travel credits, valid for 18 months, that can be applied toward a future Getaway, and Customers have the flexibility to make changes to their Getaway package without paying a change fee.3
Getaways offers bundled packages including air, hotel, car, and ground transportation options for Customers to travel to the places they want to travel, like Las Vegas, Orlando, Hawaii, Cancun, Punta Cana, and Montego Bay.
