H.E. Mr. Naif Ali Hamad Al Abri elected President of the 42nd Session of the Assembly

 

His Excellency, Mr. Naif Ali Hamad Al Abri of Oman was voted as President of the 42nd Session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly currently undergoing at that agency’s  headquarters in Montreal, Canada.

In this relevant international role, Mr. Al Abri will encourage consensus for decisive resolutions in support of ICAO’s mission, throughout the duration of the 42nd Session that runs until October 3rd, 2025.

Since August 2021, Mr. Al Abri is also the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman. Previously, he spent a decade in the airline industry in high level operational roles especially within Oman Air. He has also been CEO of TRANSOM and worked as Synergies Director at Oman Investment Authority (OAA).
