  • The company has placed an order for 35 new aircraft from Airbus and Boeing
  • This investment will be led by COC Global Enterprise as Flybondi’s main investor
  • With this plan, the airline could increase its fleet by 230% over the next four years

Flybondi, Argentina’s first low-cost airline, announces the signing of an MOU with Boeing and Airbus for the incorporation of brand-new factory aircraft. With an approximate investment of USD 1.7 billion, this will become the largest fleet expansion in recent years in both Argentina and Paraguay, and one of the most significant in Latin America.

The company will add 15 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with an option for an additional 5. This model, manufactured in Alabama (USA), has capacity for 160 passengers. The first deliveries are scheduled for 2027 and will conclude in 2029. It is important to highlight that Flybondi will be the first operator of this aircraft model in Latin America.

Additionally, the airline will incorporate 10 Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft, with an option for another 5. This model has capacity for 230 passengers, is manufactured in Renton (USA), and the first deliveries are expected in 2027, with a gradual delivery schedule ending in 2030.

This expansion represents a strategic milestone for the airline, which aims to continue growing both in Argentina and new markets across Latin America and the Caribbean with highly efficient, next-generation aircraft.

Leonardo Scatturice, Chairman & CEO of COC Global Enterprise, stated:
“Today we take a historic step for Flybondi. A billion-dollar investment in the addition of new aircraft reaffirms our commitment to the region’s growth. This decision strengthens the airline’s operational capacity, drives the creation of thousands of jobs, and improves connectivity between countries and cities, boosting the economy and creating new opportunities for everyone. Investing is believing, and today we believe in the future more than ever.”

For his part, Mauricio Sana, CEO of Flybondi, said: “This decision is a natural step in our vision of building the most democratic and efficient air network in the region. We aim to incorporate aircraft from both manufacturers in a balanced way, and for that we have strong commitment and support from our new American investor. This growth plan strengthens our future as a company and drives the entire regional commercial aviation industry. Flybondi came to change the way Argentina flies, and now we are ready to bring this model to the rest of Latin America.”

The incorporation of new aircraft will allow the company to:

  • Increase seat capacity on domestic and international routes
  • Expand its presence in key Latin American markets
  • Leverage the versatility of both fleets, enabling greater reach for new market opportunities
  • Improve the customer experience by offering enhanced features
  • Optimize fuel efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint

Flybondi reaffirms its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the economic development of the countries where it operates.
