Airports Council International – Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) announces the formation of its new Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term, which officially took leadership on January 1, 2026.
The new Executive Committee will be chaired by Juan José Salmón, representative of Lima Airport Partners (Peru). Serving as Vice Presidents are Martín Zazueta (Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico – GAP, Mexico), Ezequiel Barrenechea (Corporación América, Argentina), Santiago Yus (Aena Brasil, Brazil), and Ricardo Hernandez (Aeris Holding Costa Rica). Evans Avendaño (Aeropuertos del Perú – ADP, Peru) will serve as Treasurer, while Monika Infante will act as Past President of the association.
“The beginning of this new term represents a key opportunity to continue strengthening the strategic role of airports in Latin America and the Caribbean as engines of connectivity, economic development, and social cohesion,” said Juan José Salmón, CEO of Lima Airport and President of ACI-LAC. “We will continue working collaboratively with our members and partners to address the challenges of the sector and move toward a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable airport industry.”
For his part, Dr. Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC, emphasized that the new Board of Directors “brings a diverse and representative vision of the region, which will help reinforce the collective voice of airports before governments, international organizations, and key stakeholders in the aviation industry.”
The ACI-LAC Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term is composed of airport leaders from across the region, contributing extensive experience in management, infrastructure, operations, sustainability, and public policy, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of the airport sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Members include Ralph Cutie (Miami International Airport), Natalí Leal (OPAIN), Admiral Juan José Padilla (Grupo Aeroportuario Marina), Osvaldo García (São Paulo Guarulhos Airport), Angeline Flemming (Queen Beatrix International Airport, Aruba), Hayden Newton (Trinidad and Tobago Airports Authority – AATT), Julio Ribas (Vinci Airports Brazil), Paul Cheung (Cayenne International Airport, Guyane), Jorge Gutiérrez (Querétaro International Airport), Ricardo Dueñas (OMA), Jorge Hernández (AEROSTAR), Kurt Menal (British Virgin Islands Airports Authority), and Rafael Alberto Smith (Punta Cana International Airport).
The Board will also be supported by a group of advisors: Nicolas Claude (Nuevo Pudahuel, Santiago), José Luis Aguilar (CORPAC Cuenca), Daniel Miranda (Belo Horizonte Airport), Héctor Navarrete (ASUR), and Ramesh Ghir (Cheddi Jagan International Airport).
ACI-LAC thanks the outgoing Board of Directors for their leadership and contributions during the previous term and welcomes the new members, confident that their management will continue driving the development of safe, efficient, and innovative airports serving passengers, airlines, and communities.
