Air Canada will relaunch and expand its seasonal service between Athens and Canada for the Summer 2026 travel season, offering daily flights to both Montreal and Toronto. We are starting up this service a few weeks earlier than last year! This summer, Montréal to Athens will be operated up to 10 times weekly, and Toronto to Athens will be operated up to 11 times weekly.
“Air Canada is delighted to relaunch its Athens service for the 2026 season, offering more choice and more convenience for travellers between Greece and North America. Our flights strengthen an essential bridge between Greece and Canada — connecting families, supporting business, and fostering cultural exchange. With our expanded schedule, three cabin classes, and seamless connections via Montreal and Toronto, Air Canada remains the preferred choice for travel between our two countries,” said Stefano Casaregola, Regional Manager Italy, Greece and Cyprus.
The relaunch coincides with Canada formally recognizing March as Hellenic Heritage Month, celebrating the deep historical roots, cultural legacy, and ongoing contributions of Greek Canadians across the country.
Our Athens Flights are timed to provide convenient onward connections through Montreal and Toronto to destinations across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America.
Passengers connecting onward to the United States via Montreal or Toronto also benefit from Canada’s U.S. Pre-Clearance facilities, allowing for faster immigration processing and arrival in the U.S. as a domestic passenger.
Services will be operated with Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Boeing 777, offering three cabins:
- Air Canada Signature Class with lie-flat seats, premium dining, and priority services
- Premium Economy with wider seating and enhanced meal service
- Economy Class with complimentary meals and personal entertainment screens
