About FIDAE
The International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) is Latin America’s most established, significant, and renowned aerospace, defense, and security exhibition, showcasing the latest technological innovations from industries within the sectors it encompasses. Its origins date back to 1980, when it was established under the name *Feria Internacional del Aire* (FIDA) to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Chilean Air Force (FACH). That inaugural event drew 86 companies from 12 countries, as well as 41 aircraft—displayed on the tarmac at El Bosque Air Base—which captivated the public. Its success was such that the decision was made to hold the event every two years.
