The Embraer Institute is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026. A commemorative event held in Brazil brought together around 300 people from different generations, including current and former students of Embraer High Schools, educators, partners, and volunteers. The transformative power of education was the central theme of the program.

“The mission of changing the reality of low-income young people through programs of excellence has been at the heart of the Embraer Institute since its founding. This educational work generates solid and lasting results, preparing new generations to face their challenges with greater confidence and more opportunities. It is a concrete contribution to building a fairer and more inclusive society, an effort that continues to mobilize and inspire us,” says Andreza Alberto, Embraer’s Vice President of People, ESG, and Corporate Communications.

The two high schools, located in São Paulo State in Brazil, are the Institute’s main drivers of social, economic, and human development. Recognized for their high admission rates to public universities – above 80% – they serve 720 students each year on a full-time basis. The selection process is highly competitive, with an average of 15 applicants for each available spot. Among those admitted, 80% receive social scholarships that exempt them from tuition and cover expenses such as meals, uniforms, transportation, and educational materials.

“We have a solid educational model that also prepares students for active citizenship. Ultimately, we aim to educate individuals who can multiply the effects of their learning in society and become leaders for a more sustainable world,” says André Tachard, Director of the Embraer Institute. “This positive impact is further amplified through strategic partnerships and programs like Ciência Diversa [technology training], Asas do Bem [volunteering], and Climate Emergency [humanitarian aid],” he adds.

Tuesday’s celebration included the community of the Engineering Specialization Program (PEE), which was also created in 2001 – another Embraer investment initiative that has education as a strategic pillar.
