  • Inaugural flight arrives in the Dominican Republic

TAP Air Portugal has inaugurated its new route connecting Lisbon and Punta Cana three times a week, with the Portuguese airline’s A330-900neo having already arrived at the airport of the popular Caribbean tourist destination.

TAP will fly between Lisbon and Punta Cana on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, departing the Portuguese capital at 5pm and arriving at the airport in the Dominican Republic at 9.20pm. On the return leg, TAP flights leave Punta Cana at 11:05pm and arrive at Humberto Delgado Airport at 10:35am the next day (local time). The round-trip flights are available from €403, all taxes included.

The route will be operated with TAP’s Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, featuring the new Airspace by Airbus cabin.  The cabin’s configuration, with wifi aboard, and it’s design create an updated, modern mood, with seats with deeper recline in Economy, in seat cover shades of green and gray, and with more legroom in EconomyXtra, in shades of green and red.  The seat pitch in regular economy is 31 inches, while EconomyXtra offers an additional three inches of legroom, for a pitch of 34 inches.  The A330-900neo features 168 seats in Economy and 96 seats in EconomyXtra.

In TAP’s Executive business class, TAP offers 34 new fully-flat reclining chairs that are more than six feet long when fully reclined. TAP’s business class seats include outlets for both USBs and individual electrical plugs, connections for headphones, individual reading lights, and more space – including more storage room.

Book With Confidence:

TAP’s “Book With Confidence” program allows travelers full flexibility to change bookings on all fares, including Discount.  Passengers can now change the date, destination or leave the ticket open, without fees on travel booked until February 28, 2022. There is no change fee and no limit on changes, but fare differences may apply.
