The Civil Aviation Agency (AAC) of Cape Verde, in West Africa, is receiving support and guidance from Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) for the operational certification process of the Brazilian-made Embraer ERJ 190 aircraft. Through an international cooperation mission, the two civil aviation authorities seek to consolidate the technical association in aeronautical regulation and expand the market for the aircraft manufactured in Brazil.
From the first week of June and between July 26 and this past Monday, 15 August 2022, the activities of flight training inspection and inclusion certification of a new aircraft model integrated the ERJ 190 certification process in Cidade da Praia, Cape Verde and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The ANAC official, Felipe Gomes Barros, followed up on all the inspection and certification activities carried out on the site.
ANAC has been deepening its relationship with the civil aviation authorities of Portuguese-speaking countries, such as Cape Verde, which participate in the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Civil Aviation Authorities (CAACL). The mission in Cape Verde and the Netherlands is part of a bilateral agenda with various civil aviation authorities to enter into mutual recognition certification agreements.
