Avelo Airlines announced two new routes from Orlando’s most convenient airport, Orlando International Airport (MCO) – Dayton, Ohio and Dubuque, Iowa. With today’s announcement of exclusive nonstop service from MCO, Avelo continues to showcase itself as an affordable, convenient and reliable airline.  

Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said, “Orlando – we’re growing again! We promised growth when we opened our Orlando base, and now we’ve added two more nonstop routes: Dayton and Dubuque. These routes make getting to Orlando more affordable and easier than ever, plus they offer Orlando residents opportunities to visit places not previously served from MCO. The new routes will operate on Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. These routes will bring Avelo’s total number of cities from MCO to 10, joining Binghamton, New York; Lexington, Kentucky; New Haven, Connecticut; Newport News/Williamsburg, Virginia; Wilmington, Delaware/South Philadelphia; Wilmington, North Carolina; and two Michigan cities: Kalamazoo and Lansing.

Dayton, Ohio: The Birthplace of Aviation

This route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays and will begin on January 13, 2023. Dayton, Ohio is a destination packed with big-city experiences, amenities, attractions and shopping wrapped in small-town charm. This route will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays and will begin on January 11, 2023. Located along the Mississippi River, Dubuque is situated along the borders of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Dubuque has also long been a historical and cultural center with its numerous historic sites, architectural Historic Districts, a revitalized main street, history and art museums, live theaters, ballet troupes, a symphony, recreational and sports venues, beautiful parks, a state park and nature interpretive center, miles of hiking and biking trails, and the great Mississippi River.
