  • ACI-LAC is holding its first General Aviation event in Kingston, Jamaica. The event, which is being held for the first time globally, will bring together leading industry executives and specialists to discuss key general aviation challenges in Latin America and the Caribbean and share best practices.

Kingston will host the first ACI General Aviation Day, a free event organized by Airports Council International (ACI), in conjunction with the Airports Authority of Jamaica. The event will bring together leading industry executives, national civil aviation authorities and general aviation experts. The event will take place on June 20, at the AC Hotel Kingston.

Among the different topics of the ACI General Aviation Day are the main operational challenges posed by scheduled commercial activity and general aviation, regulatory challenges, the future of air mobility (AAM) and the impact of this segment on tourism.

“General aviation plays a vital role in our aviation ecosystem, connecting communities and driving economic growth. As ACI-LAC, we are committed to supporting and nurturing general aviation, ensuring its continued growth and contribution to our regional aviation landscape,” said Rafael Echevarne, Director General of Airports Council International Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC).
