- Together, ALTA and CAE, will promote safety, education and efficiency initiatives for aviation in Latin America and the Caribbean
The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) announces that CAE, a company focused on providing training and support solutions for critical operations in the aviation industry, has joined the association as a new affiliate member.
“Welcoming a new member is always a reason of joy and motivation; we are excited to welcoming CAE “, said José Ricardo Botelho, ALTA’s Executive Director & CEO, “CAE’s expertise and technology will bring a valuable asset to the work the association promotes to drive the aviation industry forward in Latin America and the Caribbean.”
CAE is a global company with over 13,000 employees in 40 countries. The company offers a wide range of solutions, including flight simulation for pilots, cabin crew and maintenance technicians, ab initio pilot training, crew provisioning services and operations management technology solutions, among other services.
Currently, CAE has one of the largest civil aviation training networks in the world, which is powered by 50 centers. In addition, it provides training solutions for maintenance technicians and ground personnel, in commercial aviation, private aviation, helicopters, and the emerging eVTOL market.
CAE has the largest civil aviation training network in Latin America & Caribbean, with Training Centers located in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico supporting different training platforms and offering customized solutions for Airlines and Partners to support its training needs all over the region.
The collaborative work between CAE and ALTA will contribute to the continued strengthening of ALTA Education Hub, to the committee focused on crew training, and also to ALTA’s conference dedicated to this topic: ALTA Aviation Safety, Ops & Training Summit, which this year will take place in Lima, Peru, June 18-20.
