Viva Aerobus: In June 2024 Passengers increased 11.3%, reaching an 88.0% Load Factor

Viva Aerobus announced today its June 2024 preliminary traffic results. Viva Aerobus’ passenger traffic increased 11.3% compared to June 2023, reaching 2.3 million passengers, driven by an increase of 11.5% and 9.7% in domestic and international traffic, respectively. Load factors reached 88.0% compared to 87.1% in 2023, with a load factor mix of 89.6% and 80.8% in domestic and international, respectively.

Viva Aerobus grew its total capacity in available seat miles (ASMs) by 9.9% compared to June 2023, reflecting an increase of 9.4% and 11.9% in domestic and international, respectively.

“June saw a positive increase in traffic, outpacing our capacity growth and enhancing our load factor, driven by robust demand across our markets. As we prepare for the upcoming peak summer season, booking trends remain strong, reflecting a solid demand environment. However, we must also navigate the persistent operational challenges stemming from the P&W engine recalls and extreme weather events”, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, CEO of Viva Aerobus.
