ALTA NEWS - ALTA and Escuela de Aviación del Pacífico of Colombia sign a partnership agreement
  • The aeronautical instruction center with over 53 years of trajectory, headquartered in Cali and a satellite in Pereira, Colombia, joins the network of educational institutions working to promote the education and professionalization of human resources in the aviation industry throughout the region.

The Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) is pleased to announce the joining of Escuela de Aviación del Pacífico to ALTA’s Educational Hub. The aeronautical instruction center with over 53 years of trajectory, headquartered in Cali and a satellite in Pereira, Colombia, joins the network of educational institutions working to promote the education and professionalization of human resources in the aviation industry throughout the region.

Escuela de Aviación del Pacífico is recognized for its high-quality training of aircrew and maintenance personnel for airlines. The school has 11 aircraft, including eight Piper PA-28-161 and three Cessna C152/C150, as well as three state-of-the-art flight simulators: A Flight Training Device (FTD)-A320, a Red Bird MCX Motion 3D and an Elite static simulator at its headquarters.

Programs offered by the institution include Commercial or Private Aircraft Pilot, Cabin Crew Member, Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Aircraft Dispatch. Moreover, the school offers specializations and courses such as the A-320 Pilot Familiarization Course, Ultralight Pilot, UAS Pilot, and innovative programs such as “Pilots for a Day” and “Vacation Seminars” for young students.

The school has been recognized among “The best in education – 2013”, an award given by the Colombian Ministry of Education, the “Cross of Civil Aeronautical Merit” from the Ministry of Transport and the “Order of Merit Vallecaucano to business merit” from the Valle del Cauca’s Department’s Government.

The institution is certified by Icontec in the Iso 9001:2018 – IQ NET – NTC 5555 – NTC 5581 standards.
