The Airports Council International Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) will hold the ACI-LAC Annual Assembly Conference & Exhibition, the most important event for the airport market in the region, on November 10-12, 2024. Hosted by Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP), the meeting will bring together key authorities, airport managers from around the world and aviation experts to discuss current hot topics in the airport industry. Under the theme “Fundamentals for Airport Growth: Sustainability, Innovation and Competitive Environment,” speakers will share experiences on airport concessions, trends in commercial opportunities in the airport ecosystem, air transport regulation in the region and the challenges of the sector in the face of climate change.

The opening of the conference will be attended by ACI World Director General Justin Erbacci, Rafael Echevarne, Director General of ACI-LAC, Mónika Infante, President of the Board of Directors of ACI-LAC, and Raúl Revuelta, CEO of Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP). Afterwards, Infante, who is also CEO of AERODOM, and Revuelta will participate in the first panel of the day in which CEOs of major Latin American airport operators will address the main issues affecting the sector today. They will also be joined by Natali Leal, CEO of OPAIN and Juan José Salmón, CEO of Lima Airport Partners.
The potential of regional airports
One of the conference panels, whose theme is the potential of regional airports in the region, will address the prospects for regional aviation in Latin America, such as state-of-the-art aircraft suitable for regional routes, airlines with the profile to operate in this market and the relationship between tourism and regional aviation in the region.
At the end of the conference, during the Caribbean Regional Airports Summit on November 12, the theme will expand to discussions on airport infrastructure development, airport business planning and increased connectivity in the Caribbean region.
