Delta Air Lines is thrilled to celebrate 20 years of service to Santo Domingo, a joyous milestone that highlights our dedication to connecting the vibrant cultures of the United States and the Dominican Republic. Since 2004, Delta has proudly transported over 16 million passengers to and from the Dominican Republic, including more than 6 million from Santo Domingo alone. Currently, Delta operates daily flights from Atlanta and three times daily from New York’s JFK, with plans to increase to four daily flights in the second half of December 2024. In the first quarter of 2025, Delta will boost capacity in Santo Domingo by approximately 10% year-over-year, as a result of increased frequencies from JFK.
Overall, Delta is expanding its Dominican Republic operations by 17% in the same period, serving all four major destinations with mainline aircraft:
- Santo Domingo (SDQ) – from ATL and JFK
- Santiago Airport (STI) – from JFK only
- Punta Cana (PUJ) – from ATL, BOS, DTW, JFK, and MSP
- *Puerto Plata (POP) from ATL – new seasonal service starting November 23, 2024. This marks Delta’s first return to Puerto Plata since April 2011.
