TAP Air Portugal carried a total of 16.1 million passengers in 2024, 1.6 percent more than in 2023. The largest percentage increases in the number of passengers carried were recorded on routes in North America (USA and Canada), which reached a total of 1.59 million passengers, 8.9 percent more than in the previous year.

The routes from Brazil also remained in great prominence. In 2024, TAP carried a total of more than two million passengers between Brazil and Europe, with an increase of 7.1 percent compared to 2023. Exceeding the two million passenger mark in a single year is a new historical record for TAP.

Routes from Africa recorded a very slight reduction of 0.1 percent. TAP carried a total of 1.1 million passengers between Africa and Europe.

Between Madeira and the mainland, 983 thousand passengers chose TAP to make their trips, which means a growth of 3.3 percent compared to 2023. On the Azores routes, TAP transported a total of 527 thousand passengers in 2024, 1.3 percent more than the previous year.

Routes to Europe excluding Portugal, recorded an increase of 0.9 percent, to a total of 8.8 million passengers carried.

The Load Factor (flight load factor) was 82.3 percent, 1.5 percentage points more than in 2023. The supply of seats measured in ASK grew 1.6 percent compared to the previous year.
Revenue per seat, measured in RPK, increased by 3.4 percent.
