AerFin, the aviation asset specialist that buys, sells, leases and repairs aircraft, engines and parts, and Iberia Maintenance, southern Europe’s reference centre for maintenance, overhaul and repair services for aircraft, engines and components, have signed a Strategic Repair Services Agreement on Used Serviceable Material (USM).
The agreement marks a new phase of collaboration aimed at delivering enhanced, cost-effective support for airlines worldwide. Iberia Maintenance and AerFin already collaborate, as the Spanish company purchases engine parts from AerFin.
This agreement brings together AerFin’s industry-leading supply of USM and in-house MRO capabilities with Iberia Maintenance’s renowned expertise in engine and airframe maintenance — offering airlines more efficient, flexible and sustainable aftermarket solutions backed by technical excellence on both sides.
In addition, the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore broader collaboration opportunities across their respective business lines and the wider International Airlines Group (IAG). This expanded partnership recognises both AerFin and Iberia Maintenance, as trusted providers of high-quality aviation aftermarket services, committed to maximising value and operational efficiency for their customers.
James Bennett, AerFin’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “By combining AerFin’s proven track record in delivering high-quality USM with Iberia Maintenance ’s world-class repair capabilities, we’re creating a powerful partnership focused on delivering real value. This collaboration strengthens our ability to provide flexible, cost-efficient and sustainable solutions, helping airlines keep their fleets flying with confidence.”
Julián López Lorite, Commercial Director at Iberia Maintenance, explained: “We are delighted to enhance our partnership with AerFin through this strategic agreement. By leveraging our expertise and resources, we can optimise material support and enhance the service we provide to our customers around the globe. Together, we’re committed to delivering innovative, high-quality and cost-effective maintenance solutions.”
This agreement underscores AerFin and Iberia MRO’s shared commitment to supporting airlines with reliability, efficiency and sustainability, ensuring operators benefit from faster turnaround times, reduced costs and superior service quality.
