Frontier Airlines has signed an enhanced distribution partnership with Amadeus, offering customers a broader range of personalized travel opportunities through third party channels.  Under the terms of the deal, the low fare carrier will offer New Distribution Capability (NDC) content to travel sellers via a Global Distribution System (GDS) for the first time, providing a seamless and personalized booking experience.

With the support of Amadeus and its NDC capabilities, this partnership represents yet another step in the airline’s New Frontier transformation, balancing its low-cost DNA with an enhanced customer experience and expanded premium offerings. In addition to its traditional distribution via EDIFACT, this new partnership provides a seamless transition to enhanced messaging that will drive additional value for customers with access to more options and more visibility to the best pricing available. It will also provide access to featured products like seat assignments and offer a streamlined process for making changes to travel plans, among other benefits.

Frontier Airlines Chief Commercial Officer, Bobby Schroeter, said: “Our ongoing transformation underscores a commitment to providing exceptional value and a superior travel experience for our passengers. The New Frontier means more value for our travelers’ money. Distribution of our NDC-based content through the Amadeus Travel Platform is a vital component of this change, modernizing our distribution capabilities so we can offer a seamless, personalized booking experience.”

Rajiv Rajian, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Americas, Amadeus, said: “With this enhanced partnership, Amadeus will collaborate with Frontier Airlines to leverage the benefits of NDC technology and create new distribution opportunities. Our leading NDC technology enables new opportunities for Frontier, including enhanced ancillary services and personalized offers, which are all crucial for enhancing the customer experience and maximizing revenue.”
