  • TAP flight connects the Azorean island to the Californian city once a week.

After the direct flights between Porto and Boston and Lisbon and Los Angeles, it’s now time for a direct flight between the Azorean island of Terceira and the city of San Francisco. Flight TP241 landed this week in California after a stopover in Terceira.

Once a week, one of TAP’s weekly flights between Lisbon and San Francisco, on a Tuesday, will stop over in Terceira, providing the company with a new offer on a route operated by the Airbus A330neo.

This direct flight between the Azores and California serves the large Azorean community in California, with more than 300,000 people, but also highlights Azorean attractions in the United States, such as the Algar do Carvão volcanic cave and the Biscoitos pools on Terceira, the Sete Cidades lagoon on São Miguel, Pico, on the island of Pico, the Capelinhos volcano on Faial, and whale-watching trips in an archipelago dominated by Nature.

Earlier, TAP Air Portugal had already inaugurated its new route between Porto and Boston, with flight TP227, bringing the north of Portugal even closer to the United States of America. Flights between Porto and Boston run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays until 25 October.

Almost simultaneously, TAP inaugurated the connection between Lisbon and Los Angeles, which has four weekly frequencies, on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
