Air Canada is supportive of initiatives to strengthen the Canadian airline industry for the benefit of consumers and all stakeholders. As part of this, we engage regularly with governments and other industry partners. In our submission to the Competition Bureau of Canada for its market study of competition in domestic air passenger services in Canada, we provided contextual information essential for decision makers to better understand the real opportunities for further improving the system. That illustrates some myths and facts about competition and the issues at hand, such as price of air travel. 

As Canada’s flag carrier and the airline with the largest network and most services in Canada, we have a deep interest in a strong, competitive domestic market to best serve our customers.
